Hey, we're back! :)

Hey everybody, I am back! How’ve you all been?

I hope everybody had a pleasant break. To answer a question that I have been asked seeeeveral times, no— I did not travel back home this past Winter Break. I miss my family so much, but I made a decision to stay within the United States, because every time I go to Italy, I get distracted with visiting all my friends and go all over the places, and I can’t get anything done else than having a whole lot of fun. Having fun at home is the best, but then again I hate leaving when it comes time to go back to school. Finally, this Winter break I had something really important to get done: my applications to universities to transfer to next semester.

Kittitas is a beautiful and calm place.
How much love for this bed, I miss you!

On the basis of these considerations, I decided to stay, but I certainly wasn't going to miss out on celebrating Christmas in family. So I went up to Washington State, in a small town in the central valley called Kittitas. That’s my harbor to the United States, it’s where I was an exchange student for my senior year of high school, and it’s the place where I developed my love for America, which later took me here to Santa Barbara City College. In Kittitas, in a cozy house on top of a small hill, lives a beautiful family who hosted me when I was an exchange student. Living in their house for one year, we developed a deep and wonderful relationship, so that now they treat me like family and I feel at home when I am with them.

Dinner: Salmon Filet & Risotto
Dinner: Alaskan Moose Enchiladas
No need to say, my time there was great. First things first— THE FOOD. Oh what a glorious morning was every morning, waking up to the smell of waffles, pancakes, french toast, omelettes, casseroles… Who is getting hungry?? :) As you might have picked up, my host mom Patty likes to cook, and she is very good at it. She’s helped me a lot when I was a student there: homework, correcting my English, driving me to school every morning… She really took care of me and I love her so much.

I also got to see all my friends from high school.

As soon as Saturday night came, a friend of mine picked me up and took me to a party where I met all of my old friends.

They where all so surprised and happy to see me after two years, and I had a really good time.

Skiing with my American sis!
Then I had a lot of free time to rest, drive a snowmobile (it is SO fun!), go ski, and work on my applications. Overall, I had such a great time back in WA, and I am really glad I got to see all those oh so nice people up there.

Also, it was great to have a White Christmas! But as I thought when I landed in LA, I am so not gonna miss the snow and the constantly-below-freezing temperature…

Hurray for California! We all love you <3 !

This Snapchat actually made it to the L.A. story!

I hope you're all as excited as me to rock this Spring semester and have a blast. I feel very happy and excited to learn new things and embrace new experience. Soon I will spend some time talking about my classes and what to expect from this semester, but for now… that’s all!

As always...
A presto,
